Release Notes for KubeTally EE 1.16.0
Release Date: 12th May 2025
KubeTally is the only tool that can track and assign consumption costs to departments or teams in multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.
KubeTally reports on the utilization of PV, Load Balancer, CPU, and Memory, providing granular reporting for each slice.
We continue to add new features and enhancements to KubeTally.
What's New πβ
These release notes describe the new changes and enhancements in this version.
Enhancementsβ
Dashboard Enhancementsβ
- The Overview tab includes the following updated tiles:
- Compute Costs of All Slices: Calculates the total compute costs aggregated across all slices.
- Compute Costs by Slice: Breaks down compute costs for each individual slice.
- The Deployment Map, Clusters, Health, Resource Quotas, and Nodes tabs have been added to enhance visibility into slice and cluster monitoring and resource utilization.
For more information, see dashboard.
Default Slice Supportβ
The avesha-defalut-slice
is generated for each project by default, allowing all namespaces from registered clusters to
be onboarded into single slice. The availability of the avesha-default-slice
eliminates the need to create a slice to
view the functionality of the Chargeback feature. The behavior of the default slice remains the same, but
Avesha manages the lifecycle. The user can additionally add new slices as needed.
Cost Management Enhancementsβ
- Subtotal costs for each segment (Services, Ingress LB, and Node Reserve)
- On itemized sub-section, we added new Price column to show price/unit (For example, $0.2 / millicore (hourly))
