Release Notes for KubeSlice EE 1.11.2

Release Date: 21st Aug 2024

KubeSlice is a cloud-independent platform that combines network, application, Kubernetes, and deployment services in a framework to accelerate application deployment in a multi-cluster and multi-tenant environment. KubeSlice achieves this by creating logical application slice boundaries which allow pods and services to communicate seamlessly across clusters, clouds, edges, and data centers.

We continue to add new features and enhancements to KubeSlice.

Issue Resolved

  • Fixed the CRITICAL and HIGH vulnerability issues for all KubeSlice components.
  • We resolved the Slice Operator issue related to helm upgrade from no-network to single or multi-network deployment mode.
  • We resolved the issue of the slice gateways coming up without overlay network connectivity after multiple nodes restarted simultaneously.
  • Application pod reconciliation is improved. to avoid resetting the list of endpoints in service import and export objects during app pod reconciliation that was causing intermittent failures in Kubeslice DNS lookups.
  • We now allow importing plain TCP services in slices using the VPC service import functionality. For more information, see Managed Services Gateway.
