Release Notes for KubeSlice EE 1.8.0

Release Date: 6th May 2024

KubeSlice is a cloud-independent platform that combines network, application, Kubernetes, and deployment services in a framework to accelerate application deployment in a multi-cluster and multi-tenant environment. KubeSlice achieves this by creating logical application slice boundaries which allow pods and services to communicate seamlessly across clusters, clouds, edges, and data centers.

We continue to add new features and enhancements to KubeSlice.

What's New πŸ”ˆβ€‹

These release notes describe the new changes and enhancements in this version.

Replicate Namespaces through the KubeSlice Manager

We now support replicating namespaces through the KubeSlice Manager easily from a source cluster to a destination cluster that are both connected to the same slice. You can create more than one replication resource and manage them on using the KubeSlice Manager.

To know more, see replicating resources.

Issues Fixed πŸ”§β€‹

  • The issue on the KubeSlice Manager's dashboard, where a no-network slice lacked health details, is resolved. Now, a no-network slice is available for both slice and clusters without any network components.

Known Issues πŸ“ƒβ€‹

  • Replication job configurations still exist in the system even after they are deleted from the Replicate page on the KubeSlice Manager.
