Release Notes for KubeSlice EE 0.2.0

Release Date: 22nd August 2022

KubeSlice is a cloud-independent platform that combines network, application, Kubernetes, and deployment services in a framework to accelerate application deployment in a multi-cluster and multi-tenant environment. KubeSlice achieves this by creating logical application slice boundaries which allow pods and services to communicate seamlessly across clusters, clouds, edges, and data centers.

We continue to add new features and enhancements to KubeSlice.

Deploying KubeSlice from the Rancher Marketplace

KubeSlice charts are now available on the Rancher marketplace. Rancher users can easily deploy KubeSlice by installing the corresponding charts. For more information, see deploying KubeSlice on Rancher.

Enhanced KubeSlice Manager Dashboard

The KubeSlice Manager Dashboard is enhanced with the changes below:

• A deployment map on the dashboard is added that provides the geographical location of the cloud, edge, and data center clusters.
• A Metrics tab is added, with separate views for topology and chart of the worker clusters.
• Accessing the Kubernetes Dashboard for the worker clusters from the Clusters tab is simplified.
