Release Notes for Smart Scaler Agent Version 2.4.0

Smart Scaler solves the problem of runaway costs of Kubernetes clusters that are heavily over-provisioned to compensate for the reactive and time consuming tuning required for vanilla HPA.

CPU-based Inference Recommendations

As soon as the new agent version 2.4.0 starts, it begins the CPU-based inference for the applications registered with this agent. Based on the inference data, the Inference Agent starts recommending the number of pods.

The Inference Agent starts collecting container-level metrics from Kube State Metrics and report them to Smart Scaler.
